Summer Tales

Dark clouds
Brilliant flash of lightening
The sound of rain
Falling mercilessly against my skin
Bringing back buried memories
Of summer…

Us meeting for the first time
Those summer tales
Which gets washed with the monsoon
Rains…

Our story was seasonal
With an absurd end
With unsaid hellos and goodbyes
And now those sweet nothings
Are the reason for my burning heart.

Because the characters are dying today
But the story ended long before.
